Martin Reid
Executive Vice President, Real Estate
Martin Reid is executive vice president, real estate for Interstate Hotels & Resorts. Reid’s responsibilities include identifying acquisition and management contract opportunities and managing the company’s relationships with real estate brokers, financial and institutional fund managers, hotel franchise companies and hotel owners.
Reid’s 33-year career encompasses extensive domestic and international experience in corporate and real estate finance, capital markets, real estate acquisition and development, capital formation, and investor and lender relations for many leading commercial real estate investment organizations.
Prior to joining the company, Reid was advising private equity firms on portfolio and property acquisitions and fund raising activities. Reid also served as managing director, capital markets for Thayer Lodging Group where he led investment and financial activities for five investment vehicles with 37 hotels. He was also a general partner member of new funds formed and served as chief financial officer and chief investment officer. In this role he also managed lender relationship activities, acquisition, disposition, financings and refinancing of approximately $3 billion in hotel assets.
Reid holds a Master of Business Administration in Financial Management from Pace University, New York and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from State University of New York at Albany. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and a full member of the Urban Land Institute. Reid is also a trustee of the CBRE Realty Trust.
