|Risks||Leaving Starwood to join Interstate…..and leaving so many friends in different cities, as a creature of habit, moving has been hard, but has forced me to grow in so many ways|
|Highlights||Seeing amazing events that I would have never seen unless in this business; Olympics, G20, DNC, SuperBowl Parade, Gold Medal Hockey Game, NFL and NHL draft (big difference!)|
|Lessons Learned||Listen, Listen, Listen….and hire people who are better than you, they make you look good.|
|People You Have Developed||It’s hard to know, but I’ve been told that I have…..I try to support the team around me as much as they support me…..give them the flexibility to do what makes them tick, let them stumble and be there to help recover when they do|
|Your Biggest Advice||Take care of yourself, in order to be a focused leader and a daily inspiration for your team, you need to be balanced and energized|
The Interstate value that best expresses my own values is RESPECT because I think it’s important to respect all of the people that you work with for the job that they do every day. We are only able to succeed as a team, and you have to be respectful of everyone’s contributions equally.
